Recently, we conducted a move of our company to a larger facility. While setting up our reception or waiting area, we had a hard time deciding on where to put the reading material for our clients or guest while they wait.
What we did discover was that a wall magazine rack was an answer to all of our problems. Not only did it look good, but kept the waiting room for be cluttered, thus giving a bad first impression to our customers and vendors alike.
A wall magazine rack is a perfect solution to keeping your reading material organized. By mounting it on the wall, you are able to place the reading material neatly when not in use. Just think for a second, if you currently put your magazines on a table, over time, they will be a mess.
We used to do that. We would have our receptionist organize the magazines each morning before we opened for business. Well it only took two or three hours before they were all messed up. Even quicker if a child was accompanying their mother or father.
By putting up the wall magazine rack, we no longer had to waste the time organizing them, plus, as an additional benefit, it kept them out of reach of the kids. While we all like kids, they can tear through a magazine in about 2 minutes.
Now there are plenty of different styles or types when looking for a wall magazine rack. What we really found to be a nice style for us was a wood rack. Since all of our furniture had a dark cherry finish wood style, we bout the same style of wall magazine rack.
You aren’t stuck with wood though. You can always try an acrylic, plastic of even metal wall magazine rack. You just need to decide what style works best for the furniture you already have in place.
Let’s face it, you aren’t going to decide on the style of your waiting room around a wall magazine rack, so just stick with the same style that you already have in place.
As for price, you can expect to spend around $75 for a real nice, solid wood, wall magazine rack. The plastic or metal styles will be a bit cheaper. Just ensure that you stick to the budget that you have panned for prior to buying one.
Mounting a wall magazine rack is quite simple. The will more then likely come with the hardware (ie. screws, nuts, washers). All you have to do is to drill a few holes, put in the screws, and then slide the rack over the crews. The wall magazine rack will have slots in the back of it.
Just line the slots up with the fat head screws and push down once it is in the slot. It’s that simple. Just be sure that you have a level. Nothing looks worse that a crooked wall magazine rack. Just take your time and you should be all set.
